Day 1: Arrival to Juba & Drive to Mundari Tribal Land
Upon your arrival in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, you will be greeted by our team and driven to a hotel for a delicious lunch. Afterward, we embark on a short drive to the enchanting Mundari village settlements, located just 20 kilometers away. The Mundari tribe is known for their nomadic lifestyle and their settlements vary between the Tarekeka area and the vicinity of Juba, depending on grazing lands availability. We will mingle with the tribe as they return with their cattle around 5:00 pm, providing an opportunity to witness their unique way of life. Overnight camping will be arranged in the Mundari village, allowing you to immerse yourself in this fascinating culture.
Begin your adventure with a city tour of Juba. Discover the vibrant Konyo Market, where local artisans showcase their crafts. Visit the John Garang Mausoleum and Jubek Tomb, paying homage to South Sudan’s influential leaders.
